- Marcus Ardvison

Marcus Arvidson began dancing with Descendance in 2001, in this time he developed into a versatile performer, excelling in the three styles of dance the company produces: Traditional Mainland, Contemporary and Torres Strait Islander

Marcus begun his dance training with NAISDA in 1999, in 2000 he was part of the Opening and Closing Ceremony for The Olympic Games in Sydney, in 2001 he performed at the Centenary of Federation Celebrations, in 2002 at the Opening Ceremony of Reconciliation House Canberra, and the AUS-AID performance, at Parliament House, in 2003 at the Opening Performance for the Sydney Swans and Essendon game to an audience of 87,000 people at Olympic Stadium.

Marcus also performed at The Sydney Dreaming Festivals 2002-2003, The Opening ceremony of The Rugby Union World Cup 2003, was part of the one month long tour of Central Eastern Europe with Descendance in 2003, in 2004 he performed at The Deadly Aboriginal Awards at the Opera house.

Marcus also worked in fusion shows with Flamenco, Middle Eastern and Asian dancers (Sydney Indigenous Arts Festival 2004), and has also performed at some of the world's leading international conventions and corporate events, international cruise liners, schools, art galleries, museums, political events and festivals with Descendance.
